Visited the Embassy of Lithuania in Tokyo to participate in the “Creative Lithuania Conference”!
At this event, Lithuanian and Japanese photographers, picture book authors, and other creative professionals gathered to celebrate the 100 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Lithuania.
A famous Japanese person in Lithuania is Mr. Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who served as Vice-consul for the Japanese Empire in Kaunas, Lithuania. During the Second World War, Sugihara helped over 6000 Jews flee Europe by issuing transit visas to them so that they could travel through Japanese territory.
After the event, we had the opportunity for networking and discussions while trying traditional Lithuanian food.
