Mexico, officially known as the United Mexican States, is a country located between Central and North America.
In recent years, women’s political participation in Mexico has been gaining attention.
In 2022, Mexico was ranked fourth in the world in terms of the percentage of women in legislature. Women made up 50% of the Chamber of Deputies and 49.2% of the Senate in the Congress of the Union, which is the legislative body of Mexico.
This is due to the introduction of laws and policies that aimed to increase women’s participation in decision-making processes.
